FCA recently embarked on a Project to standardise and brand outbound emails using the Enhanced Stationery feature supplied by Mimecast.

The first objective was to ensure that the layout and content of the FCA email signature was consistent company-wide while ensuring that they were compliant with best practice.

This included the all important Email Disclaimer overlooked by many organizations at their own peril, considering them to be irrelevant.

Due to the flexibility of the Mimecast solution we were able to simultaneously deploy three different versions of the FCA Email signature. These signatures are automatically applied, by Mimecast’s policies, to various departments and personnel with different requirements.

In addition, employees’ title and contact information are all managed in a central location enabling Mimecast to pull all the relevant data from Active Directory adding an additional level of security.  Thus, making it extremely difficult for any employee to misrepresent themselves or the company to any external party.

With the assistance of Mimecast, FCA has achieved a “win-win” situation for both FCA Management and Employees. FCA management have peace of mind knowing that the company image and ethos is being maintained while employees are now only concerned with the content of their emails before hitting the send button. This all equates to improved company image, security and efficiency.

Mimecast also allows the branding of outbound emails using html, images and hyperlinks. The Enhanced Stationery feature has enabled FCA to deploy numerous branding campaigns varying from simple Season Greeting messages to tracked links using Micro-sites. Currently, FCA have eight concurrent Campaigns deployed on a rotational basis allowing FCA to schedule and rotate the various Campaigns as and when our requirements change. The diversity and scope of Corporate Branding using this medium is only limited by our imagination.

The enormous potential using Email Branding can be clearly demonstrated using the following simple formula:
No. Employees  X  No. Emails sent per employee  = No. of potential touch points with your Clients/Market
